The Albuerme Family

I was flattered when Lisa called me from Palm Beach County, Florida to schedule a family session. She had found my work online and although I am available for travel she decided to make the trip up with her family. After rescheduling once, we met last Sunday evening. It's a little complicated when people are traveling to make sure we have good weather and that they don't waste the trip! This was a close one! The Albuerme's were a little late getting here so we were pressed for time with the sun setting as well as the impending thunderstorm! I am so so thankful we had enough time to get some beautiful shots and get off the beach just before the storm. The older boys will be heading back to New York soon (Manhattan!) so this was our last chance. I asked them if they prefer the city or the beaches and they were quick to reply Florida! What a fun family with four boys and all of them sporting very nice haircuts from their father (a barber in Boynton Beach.) Enjoy!

Silver ocean is one of my favorite things.

Oh what a sweetie!!

The Hart Family

Andrea and Alex called me for a family photography session while they were in town visiting Andrea's (amazing) family. I just love her parents and know that her little boy Brady is blessed with incredible grandparents! There is no doubt in my mind either that they are completely head over heels in love with him. We met in Satellite Beach and I was surprised when I saw Brady that he was so big! Only a month or so older than my little guy, I was expecting a similar size child but Brady has this full head of hair and he's tall and super solid. That's nothing though, his personality is even bigger. He is on the go and in a hurry! I really enjoyed my time with the Hart family and hope they enjoy these highlights. They had some friends with them and we snapped some photos of their family as well. Hope you all enjoyed the weekend!

I held my breath but Brady loves it!

We had to barricade him in!

He was throwing the sand from the shell onto his head and I guess trying to watch it land?

Kelly and Chez

I shot Kelly and Chez's engagement session on Melbourne Beach last week. They just moved to Melbourne from Tallahassee and will be here until they are married in November and then relocate up North. I'd met Kelly during our initial consult regarding their wedding photography but hadn't met Chez yet and so discovered during our session that we are both Flagler College grads and enjoyed some of the same professors there as well as Young Life in St. Augustine. So fun! Kelly and Chez are a sweet young couple and I'm really excited to shoot their upcoming wedding!

The beach has been doing interesting things lately with all these little tide pools...

Uncle Devon - Eligible Bachelor

My brother Devon stopped by for a surprise visit last week just when Davis was waking up and he's been dying to get these pics so here we go... As you can see here, Devon is a caring, sensitive, family kind of guy, works for Regions bank as a manager there and is eligible to date anyone who applies first through his big sister! hee hee, but really, I can safely say Dev is quite the catch. We're thinking God is going to bring him just the right girl, at the right time, who shares his beliefs, values and goals. Little Davis loves his uncle!

Goodbye to Summer!

Thanks to Justin for getting my kids to smile.
This was our "last night of summer" big hoorah... good times!

sand flea hunting, yes there are six kids there all 6yrs and under...

ewwww, heebie jeebies...

the sand flea is airborn...

my boy loves to throw the ball....

also loves to eat, and eat, and eat... finally had to put a gate in front of the pantry so I wouldn't have to keep saying no when he brought out all the groceries, including cans of soup and just anything he could get his hands on... These kashi cookies are actually pretty good, but by the time he's done everything is smooshed!

next, the refrigerator... my hungry monkey... I do feed him, quite frequently in fact...

experimenting with various rolling techniques now that we have the new "do"... this one was Grandmommy's idea...

fun trip to the zoo with MeMe and our cousins from Michigan!

Our First Grader!!!! He's too cool for school.
Yep, forgot the camera for Mary's first day but she looked super cute I swear.

I wanted to post some family pics, rounding up the summer for us. Although I was super busy with work we had some good family time and now as the big kids are back to school, I'm catching up on projects like web updates and researching new ideas for the business as it grows. Breaking news today: the latest Angel Gray Photography assistant, Coleen, has accepted the position starting mid September! Coleen has a ton of experience managing a photography studio up north and will be very hands-on with the business administration as she also trains as my assistant during some sessions and weddings! I'm super excited to be working with her and I'll get her bio up here some time before she starts. A few sessions were cancelled lately due to weather but had a beautiful evening with Kelly and Chez this week (watch for those highlights!) and looking forward to family and senior portrait sessions this weekend as well as the Gabriel wedding and McCart family coming up!
