Haley and Chad

Haley and Chad came down from North Carolina to get married here in Melbourne. They had their wedding and reception Sunday at Dijon's Steakhouse in Melbourne Beach. I've photographed a wedding there before and just love that location. This was the first time I've seen a ceremony there and if your guest list will fit (less than 100 I'm guessing) than its a great choice. Its also nice to be able to cross the street to Ryckman Park and get some shots there. I loved the bright pinks and turquoise Haley chose; the colors really made it feel like a Florida wedding. It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed it. Congratulations Haley and Chad! Here's a few shots until your gallery is ready...

Lisa and Chris - Maternity

Lisa and Chris had maternity photos taken on Melbourne Beach last week. I was out of town for the weekend so didn't get to post these until now, but I've been excited to take a closer look. They are expecting their first baby and I could just feel their joy and anticipation. Pregnancy is such a miracle and really one of the few things we can't control or rush, so the waiting time gives opportunity for thought, wonder, feelings and plans which will finally come together in the birth of a tiny baby. Life is never the same again, but you can't picture it being any other way. Having photographs of this time of anticipation is so special and will be fun to share with your child some day!
Lisa and Chris, you were great to work with and I can't wait to meet the latest member of your family! Stay tuned for newborn pics!

The Peter Family

I met the Peter Family at sunrise Monday morning in Melbourne Beach. They are vacationing in Florida all the way from Michigan. It was beautiful to watch the sun come up just as we arrived. The family was excited to be at the beach but also to continue their day visiting Kennedy Space Center. Their little guy was so cute and sweet and would just light up when his mommy sang to him. Their older son was so interested in the water, shells and such that I think he was pretty wet by the end! Thankfully, they planned ahead and brought extra clothes. It was a pleasure to be their photographer. Hope you guys are having a great vacation and a safe trip back!

Stephen and Danielle, Wedding Vow Renewal

In honor of their 10 year anniversary, Stephen and Danielle decided to make the trip down to Florida with their kids to visit family and renew their wedding vows on the beach. We met at Pelican Beach Park in Satellite Beach for the event. The light cloud cover gave us a beautiful light for the majority of our time. The extended family enjoyed their time together, not only for the heart felt vows but also afterward with an Easter egg hunt for the kids. It was a pleasure being there, Danielle is so enthusiastic about her photos... Congratulations on 10 years of marriage; I hope you enjoy these samples!

Baby Cason

I shot baby Cason's photos this past Sunday in Port St. John. He was around 10 days old then. I recommend for newborn photography that we schedule the session around a week old. This way the infant is still easy to work with, hasn't gotten cranky yet and probably no baby acne yet either! Since I also shot the maternity photos, we were able to plan around the due date. My "baby" just turned a year old so I think I enjoyed this session extra just remembering how small they start out! Its true how time flies. Cason was super cute and sweet and has a real barn in his back yard complete with two horses - I think he is destined to be a cowboy! Sorry the blog entry took so long guys, my youngest was sick this week which resulted in a sick mommy too! Enjoy that baby and I hope to see you again as he grows!

Brent and Christina - Engagement

I shot Brent and Christina's engagement photos in Melbourne Beach Saturday night. Brent is actually an old friend of ours from Clearwater and my husband will be officiating their wedding in July on Sanibel Island. Theirs will be the first wedding I've ever photographed while my husband is doing the marry-ing. We've been joking about this wedding team thing, if only we could get the kids to form a wedding band... Our oldest is going on six and our youngest is one, just a few years of grooming them and we'll be a one stop shop!
Seriously, we had a beautiful evening for the engagement pictures. Brent and Christina are both soon-to-be UCF graduates and I know they are looking forward to this new stage in their lives. See you guys in July!
