Chris and Jennifer's Wedding

I photographed Chris and Jennifer's destination wedding last weekend in St. Augustine, FL. It was so much fun for me since I lived there and went to college there and moved away in 2001. St. Augustine is a place my family loves to visit frequently so we all took the trip up together and they got to "play" on Saturday while I was "working." Jennifer and Chris were married at the Lightner Museum and had their reception at the Columbia Restaurant. This is all in walking distance so we shot their "just married's" around town while we walked to the reception. Jennifer was beautiful in her vintage inspired dress and accessories. Reception fun... I used to live just around the corner from the Columbia. Although as a college student I definitely wasn't dining there very much! This sangria (made fresh at the table) looked soooo yummy I even asked the waiter if I could purchase a bottle to go. Apparently that is not something they do - bummer! Jennifer's dad was singing to her while they danced. So sweet.

Seriously you would not believe what it took to get this hallway clear of people, cleaning supply carts, etc. and then just between these two pics we had an unexpected guest... I should find those pics too funny!

I photographed Abby and Matt's wedding on the 21st and it was truly a pleasure. The ceremony took place inside the Disney Wedding Pavilion in Orlando Florida. The reception was held at the Grand Floridian. This wedding had everything a wedding photographer could want: beautiful lighting, beautiful location, beautiful people and guests who know how to have fun. We did have some challenges with the mid day sun after the ceremony, but if it weren't for that it would have been just too easy! Hope you guys are off enjoying a great honeymoon, enjoy your highlights!

Brent and Christina

I photographed Brent and Christina's destination wedding on Sanibel Island, Florida last weekend and it was the first wedding I've ever photographed that my husband also officiated. It was fun! I made sure to include a photo below so everyone can see how nice he looked in his suit (which I had to purchase for him since the last suit he bought he picked up at Goodwill and the pants didn't even match the jacket... He's not into shopping, or at least not for anything without a hard drive, a big screen or an "app.") It was a good time. Brent and Christina had a beautiful ceremony and reception at The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club. The weather was as good as it gets for July in Florida. Perfectly overcast, nice breeze. I hope they will look back on these highlights and relive the joy of their big day!

We didn't have a lot of "preparation" time for photos but the pearls Christina wore were ready quite early so we had some quality time together while I waited for the bride...

Tony and Carlye

I shot Tony and Carlye's destination wedding on Captiva Island, FL just over a week ago. They were married on the lawn at South Seas Island Resort. Despite the gloomy forecast, there wasn't a cloud in the sky! The bride looked beautiful of course. Tony and Carlye are a great couple - I've gotten to know them a little through other family events I've photographed as well as their engagement session. You can tell they not only love each other but have fun together which is so terrific. My husband came along and we left the kiddos behind to have a little getaway of our own. South Seas is a beautiful resort surrounded by water on the west coast of Florida. We had a great time relaxing until the wedding on Sunday. Here are some highlights from the big day....

Carlye's sister is expecting in August. Seems like I was just shooting her engagement yesterday and she's already been married a year!

So this lovely lady was making me crazy because I thought I knew her from somewhere. You know how that is... After searching my brain and coming up with nothing I asked her and as it turns out she's just been stalking the weddings I photograph! Well, maybe not stalking, she's been a bridesmaid or a guest at more than a few... What was that movie? Well, I hope hers is next - just keep an eye out for her blog entry someday! (I have to be her photographer right?)
