Michelle} Class of 2010

Michelle is graduating from Viera High School this year and was the big winner of my high school senior facebook contest! She won a senior portrait package worth over $650.00 by receiving the most votes from her friends! We met in Melbourne Beach and had some fun - seriously, high school senior portraits are FUN. She had a few changes of clothes and is just a good natured person, which I hope comes through in these images. I can see why her friends went out of their way to give her lots of votes! Congratulations Michelle! And, please forgive my semi-late blog entry... I've been on a mission to get all my client print orders up to date!

The Rutherford's

Before I meet a new client for a session I usually do a quick scan of all our emails to get a good handle on everything we have discussed and just a general feeling of the people I'm about to finally meet (assuming we haven't met before.) When I did my search for emails from the Rutherford family, I realized they went back to before Bradyn was born and he is now 6mths old! I was reminded that due to his mom's bed rest and his early arrival, things were put on hold. I was reminded that to his mommy he is a miracle baby -and that just got me excited. We met in Melbourne Beach and got in some time with the grandparents (they are sooo googly eyed over Bradyn but then who wouldn't be and seriously you can't call yourself a grandparent is you aren't -seriously, it is a basic requirement.) So... the highlights...

Will I ever get enough of baby feet? No. Will you get sick of seeing them on the blog? I don't care. I love them with the kind of unconditional love that doesn't even mind if they are stinky. In fact, I can admit that I even enjoy the stink of my two year old's sweaty "pigs" (as we fondly call the conventional "piggies.") There is a certain age, around 5-7 years for me, that these sweet things become less appealing but will forever hold a special place in my heart. Thank God I will be getting some niece and nephew pigs to enjoy by the time mine are all grown up. And then there is always your kids but I feel like kissing their feet is probably crossing the line in our relationship, so I refrain.

The Kuch Family

I met the Kuch family last week in Melbourne Beach at Ryckman Park. The last time I photographed their family, there was four of them. So, it was fun seeing how much the kids have grown and how sweet thier "new" little sister is. It was no problem getting her to smile! I put a few storyboards together here, just for fun! Nadija, Marina and Marley

I had the privilege of photographing these beautiful young girls last week on Melbourne Beach. Marley and Marina are sisters and Nadija is Marina's best friend (above.) Also, to make it even more fun, I've been friends with Nadija's mom Erika since we were in middle school... Go Scotties. Correction: Elementary - Go Panthers. It was a super windy day at the beach so we took a few in the parking lot first where the dunes were blocking the wind... after that we played on the beach.

Caleb and Ethan

I photographed Caleb and his baby brother Ethan at their home in Malabar last weekend. I wasn't that far from my house yet felt like I was in the country! Seeing Caleb's enthusiasm for the ducks, goats, birds and just nature in general made me wish I was raising my family there! The first image above is an example of a 10x20 inch storyboard. I had someone ask me about those this week so I thought I'd take this opportunity with cute Caleb to post one example. There are many layout options, but I do prefer those with just a few images. This product comes mounted to double weight mat board and costs $75.00 (the brown frame around the edge does not print with the image.) The text can be customized any way you'd like it; I just thought the quote reminded me of Caleb the country boy! Watch for the rocks in his hands, he picked up two and had to have one in each hand, I don't remember when he finally set them down!

Baby Ethan

Getting a photo of these two together was, let's just say, slightly difficult. Just wait though, they will inseparable one day soon and causing all sorts of trouble together!

Robin and Jessica

Robin's husband gave her a gift certificate to Angel Gray Photography for Mother's Day so she could get some sweet photos of her and her daughter Jessica. We got together at their home on the canal in Satellite Beach, FL last week and then went over to the beach for a little photo shoot as well. Jessica is just about to enter kindergarten and she is full of enthusiasm! She's even taking a little manners/modeling class right now - how cute! Her mother obviously adores her and I hope these photos will convey that to her as she grows up and even as an adult one day looking back at them.
