Holstein Family

I photographed the Holstein family last week in Melbourne Beach. They were naturally at ease in front of the camera and around each other which made things easy and fun. There is a definite pattern (which the Holsteins have done a good job ignoring!) where families stop having their portraits taken together, as their children get older, as busy schedules make it tougher to coordinate, etc. If you are reading this and your last family portrait was taken so long ago that there was film in the camera, stop now, get your calendars and schedule your session!

I photographed Abby and Matt's wedding on the 21st and it was truly a pleasure. The ceremony took place inside the Disney Wedding Pavilion in Orlando Florida. The reception was held at the Grand Floridian. This wedding had everything a wedding photographer could want: beautiful lighting, beautiful location, beautiful people and guests who know how to have fun. We did have some challenges with the mid day sun after the ceremony, but if it weren't for that it would have been just too easy! Hope you guys are off enjoying a great honeymoon, enjoy your highlights!

This is one of my favorites, apparently the little smack on the bottom is how wives are welcomed into the army... "Welcome to the army Mrs..." was how it went.

The Hammock Family

I shot the Hammock family photos at Ryckman Park in Melbourne Beach. They are such nice people. Mrs. Hammock is one of my daughter's teachers at school this year and Mary loves to talk about her because she is the "silly teacher." In fact, Mary loves to impersonate her New York accent and I think she has completely switched to calling markers "Maw-kas." It's pretty cute, she just said it today when I asked her how we are supposed to decorate this ginger bread man (homework.) Her reply: "With mawkas mom."

Hamelin Family

I met up with the Hamelin family a week or so ago and got some fun family photos. (Still catching up the blog -and of course your print orders- from the dreaded Gray-family-flu-09!) They have three kids similar ages to mine so I saw my own family dynamics in their family throughout our session. The cutest thing was the "baby" of the family playing keep away at all times with whatever she had in her hands. The football, the bubbles, it didn't matter, no one was going to take it away from her! My little Davis is the same way. Those little ones learn early how to hold on to what they want! The Cimino Family

I shot the Cimino family pictures a week (actually almost 2 weeks?) ago. Things have been a little crazy around my house lately with the flu passing around to every member of my family! I was the last to come down with it. The Cimino's are special to me, good friends I've had since forever. They were over from Tampa for an early Thanksgiving with family here. Their kids are so full of energy and this is one good looking family! Enjoy your highlights - finally!
