Chez and Kelly's Wedding

I photographed Kelly and Chez's evening wedding at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church in Indialantic and their reception at Gleason Park's recreation complex in Indian Harbour, FL. I hadn't met them before we got together for wedding planning but it turned out that Chez and I both went to Flagler College and were both involved with Young Life there, so we have a lot of common friends! I shot Kelly and Chez's engagement on the beach which you can see here. The images you see below are album spreads for my lay flat albums, so each spread is actually two pages, opened up. They both grew up at Holy Name church which made their marriage there extra special and they have both been involved as youth and as leaders with the youth ministry there. They obviously have benefited much from that experience as they are quite an impressive couple, dedicated to their deep faith, their friends and family and of course, each other. They had so much fun at their reception which was catered by Farinas. Hope you all are enjoying your honeymoon travels and I'll talk to you soon!

I am in love with Kelly's parent's house, the ceiling is so awesome, it is so unique and I think had the prettiest view of any home I've seen in Melbourne!

When Kelly first started down the isle and her wedding coordinator fluffed her train, the air really caught it and it was quite dramatic - loved it.

There is always "that guy" I find at every reception, the entertainer, so fun!

Good job not running through the sparklers guys, but I did get to add another "what not to do with sparklers" tip to my ongoing list... Don't put a bunch of sparklers in a glass vase together and light them all. Big no no.

The White Family

I met up with the White family in Melbourne last weekend for some extended family shots and various other family portraits while they had all been together for Thanksgiving. Hmmm that means it was weekend before last. So things are slightly busy for me right now! I know this family because I shot Brittney's pregnancy and then Cason's newborn here. It is always so fun to see babies growing up and it always feels to me like just yesterday they were itsy bitsy! Enjoy your highlights White Families!

Captain Morgan

I met up with the Buchanan family last weekend for some pet photography. They have a precious black lab named Captain Morgan who they wanted to get some special photos with. Captain Morgan is a little bit weak in his old age so they carried him down the boardwalk, and because he is hard of hearing we had to get creative with dog treats to help him look toward the camera. It reminded me a lot of working with infants and toddlers. I was inspired by their love for their dog and I hope they enjoy these highlights.

Holstein Family

I photographed the Holstein family last week in Melbourne Beach. They were naturally at ease in front of the camera and around each other which made things easy and fun. There is a definite pattern (which the Holsteins have done a good job ignoring!) where families stop having their portraits taken together, as their children get older, as busy schedules make it tougher to coordinate, etc. If you are reading this and your last family portrait was taken so long ago that there was film in the camera, stop now, get your calendars and schedule your session!

I photographed Abby and Matt's wedding on the 21st and it was truly a pleasure. The ceremony took place inside the Disney Wedding Pavilion in Orlando Florida. The reception was held at the Grand Floridian. This wedding had everything a wedding photographer could want: beautiful lighting, beautiful location, beautiful people and guests who know how to have fun. We did have some challenges with the mid day sun after the ceremony, but if it weren't for that it would have been just too easy! Hope you guys are off enjoying a great honeymoon, enjoy your highlights!

This is one of my favorites, apparently the little smack on the bottom is how wives are welcomed into the army... "Welcome to the army Mrs..." was how it went.

The Hammock Family

I shot the Hammock family photos at Ryckman Park in Melbourne Beach. They are such nice people. Mrs. Hammock is one of my daughter's teachers at school this year and Mary loves to talk about her because she is the "silly teacher." In fact, Mary loves to impersonate her New York accent and I think she has completely switched to calling markers "Maw-kas." It's pretty cute, she just said it today when I asked her how we are supposed to decorate this ginger bread man (homework.) Her reply: "With mawkas mom."
